Earlier in my career, I was asked to put together a set of questions, allegedly to search for candidates for an ESP EXPERIMENT.  Of course, this became public and I was ridiculed for being like Dr. Venkman in Ghostbusters.  I was given no academic top cover and it had terrible effects on my career.  I have often wondered whether I was set-up, or whether I was a stalking horse for early sensitive searching. The questions I was to ask were:
1)  Have you ever seen flashes or disturbances around public artwork?
2)  Do you find that you are inspired when in certain locations?  If so, describe that inspiration?
3)  Do you tend to notice things in public that others miss?  Are you abnormally aware of your environment?
4)  Do you sometimes feel that your brain has been enhanced or invaded?
And so on...

How would you answer these questions?

  1. A large set of academic YESs Doctor.

  2. I can easily see such a battery of tests making its way into various social sciences curricula.  Most professors or TAs could be entirely unaware of their intent, especially sandwiched among other questions as one might see on an MBTI instrument or ASVAB.

  3. Do you believe that Dr School may have had an ulterior motive in commissioning you to assemble these questions, such as plausible deniability for an instrument he himself was instructed to produce?

  4. Interesting perception on those questions. I am very interested of the range of reactions to these questions. If you don't mind me asking how did it become public. As a show of good faith, I'll share answers of my own.
    1) No
    2) Yes, its like waking up and taking a cold drink of water. You think more deeply about the relationship of things to each other.
    3) Yes, but not consistently.
    4) Enhanced but never invaded.

  5. Those certainly sound like fishing questions for sensitives. Most agents now would likely answer yes, to some, if not all. Also makes me wonder if they sought certain types of sensitives over others as Niantic seemed to do. Are you still pursuing this research?

  6. I frequently denigrate Dr. Wright, but I concede that is the real deal in the sense that he was in on this stuff very early and was, in fact, Devra's 'mentor.'  There was probably a good reason for excluding him from the Niantic Project.  It might have been whatever he was 'disgraced' for.  I have a feeling its more than the Venkman stuff he refers to.

  7. Edgar Allan Wright to answer your questions in order:

    1. I haven't seen anything around public artwork but i've felt it. a lot.

    2. I am abnormally aware of things around me. Constantly afraid to some degree even.

    3. My mind both enhanced and invaded. Everything comes in pairs, after all. Light to Dark, Good to Evil, etc.

  8. 1. No
    2. Yes. I'm not really sure how to describe it, beyond feeling more.. alive.
    3. I often notice things others miss. On occaision I have become super-aware of my surroundings for a brief window of time.
    4. No, though I have carried for many years an apprehension that it may be invaded.

Edgar Allan Wright, I'd be curious to know how you would answer these questions?

  9. Actually I am curious to know who asked for this research Dr.Edgar Allan Wright . Like flint dille  pointed out so well there might lay the reason for your forced distance from the Niantic project

  10. I will answer your questions:
    1) I have been drawn to certain artworks and monuments?  A flash?  Maybe.  Something. A stimulus from the corner of the eye. A sound. Maybe a lack of sound.  I have not yet isolated it.  But these things have communicated with me.
    2)  My life has been nomadic by necessity. I try not to stay in one place long time. I spend much time off the grid to silence the disturbances.  I find that some monuments attract me and others do not.  However, when I saw the first Ingress Intel Map It confirmed my suspicions.  Different portals have different properties.  Different sensitives have different receptors. That is why teams are necessary.
    3)  I am extremely aware of my environment. Maybe too aware.  Sometimes I must sit in total darkness and silence to return to my center.
    4)  Invaded, sometimes. Enhanced. Often.  It is all a flow. I wonder if my brain has invaded other intelligence.  Has it communicated?

  11. Flashes or disturbances? That depends on your definition of disturbance. If the fact that as I walk by a certain piece of work, and it seems as if I am drawn to it, then my answer to your first question is yes.
I do find myself inspired in certain places more than others. Depending on location, I can feel a deep serenity that allows me to draw the unimaginable, while other places will allow the the calmness to overwhelm and relax almost to the point of sleep.
To answer your third question, Dr., everything surrounding us has some sort of life, being, existence, so it all gives off it's own energy. Almost like staring at a negative of a picture and then looking at a white surface, I can see the glow that is given off from bushes to buildings.
And finally your last question.... Is my brain enhanced? In order to see and understand everything that happens around you on a daily basis, your brain has to be enhanced. From the XM anomaly, to being able to understand how to use the equipment given to us to find and contain the XM, it takes above normal minds to ensure everything finds it's balance.

  12. ASMR? Does ASMR count as a disturbance?
