QUANDRY: Now that I am experiencing a sense of 'Better Nodal Integration' as one scientist we are all familiar with referred to it, my question is this. Should I re-engage with RPE Experiments or remain free of them. I believe it to be much safer now. And, this question is more 'fun' than anything else, but if we were to visit a new RPE Node, (place, time or event) what would be most interesting to you?

I asked flint dille if I should move from G+ to Facebook and he, as usual didn't have a good answer but he did ask JoJo Stratton, who had a number of ideas as to where we should move our community. I suspect that in a while, for the short term, I'll move to the Book of Faces, but welcome any other format that Essex prefers as long as it functions more or less like G+. SNAKES, SERPENTS AND SLITHERING: Our discussion of the two snakes at Siwah brings back the Carrie Campbell imagery. I don't know why, but I suspect that snakes are going to be important. This is just something to think meditate on for when the moment is right. What is the meaning of the snakes and how do connect Recursion, Darsana and Abaddon?

A comment by Ishira Tsubasa begged an interesting question. What archetype would Mnemosyne be? Indeed, what archetype do we think Wendy is? It matters a lot for how we interpret them.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE HOWCRAFT DOCUMENT, and were we to tie it to the challenge, what would it be? Of course, we will have a more complete answer should the rest of the document appear, but for now, what are we to make of the Tears of Mnemosyne? Does this overlap with DunRaven?

Congratulations to Nancy Something. I will be very interested to see how Operation Essex interprets the document. My sense is that as with other retrieved Howcraft documents, there is a deeper meaning to it. Perhaps I am wrong.

Forgive me for being absent for a couple of days. I've had a chance to debrief with some who were present at the EXO5 anomaly and it is quite obvious that much was revealed and there is some to still be revealed. So let's start with the most basic question of any crime. Who benefitted from the murder of Calvin and Phillips and how did they benefit? Of course, the purely logical question would be, 'who thought they would benefit at the time of the murder, because they might not have attained the result they were hoping for?'

I can not tell you what the source of my information is, but it seems that Misty, Akira, the Acolyte, PAC and Devra are converging on San Francisco to get to the bottom of the murders of Calvin and Jay Phillips. All of them have bits and pieces of the puzzles. If you can not be there, contact somebody who is. There could be other revelations. I am going to try and be there myself, but if not, I've asked a friend to do my bidding.

Forgive me for being off the grid. I can not tell you why this is of interest to me, but I am very interested in the Acolyte. When did she first appear on the scene and in what context? I have reason to believe that she has gone under a number of identities. Do we know any of them? And what do we know of her real relationship with Jarvis? It seems to me that she has been hiding in plain sight in our investigation since the beginning.

ON THE PASSING OF ZEKE CALVIN: Forgive me for taking so long to acknowledge the death of a man who was so important and central to my life. Even now, I do not know all of the ways he impacted it, because some of it is still lost to memories and some of my memories might be manufactured memories. And.... I suppose my delay is in part that I was hoping to discover that the news was a hoax. But alas, Zeke is dead. Zeke was the pioneer of strange human powers. Leveraging his position at the NIA, recently called the most spookiest of the spook agencies, he attempted to learn about things such as Remote Viewing and today, we have Remote Participation, a huge upgrade. Was that Whydah or Waratah? I can't remember. Maybe it was Marie Celeste, but I don't think so. Some expect me to be angry with him, for whatever caused the invasion of my brain happened at one of those events, but I'm quite sure I knew the risks I was taking and I wouldn't change anything... It is a bit out of character for me, but I've developed a curious fascination with the murder of Ken Owens. Mind you, as I was excluded from the Niantic Project itself, I do not believe I ever met the man, but I do believe I met Jay Phillips. Do we know what he looks like? Has he killed anybody other than Jarvis and the woman who may or may not have been Catalina? Do we know for certain that he has ordered the death of anybody? I am trying to summon this from my memory. I am trying to either rule him in or out of the murder of Ken Owens. The thing that rattles around in my mind is 'why the staging of the body at Kennedy Center.' Do any of those on the suspect list have a history of staging murders? Pardon me. It seems like I've asked a lot of questions. Feel free to answer as many as you want.

There is quite a bit happening all at once, but I am focussing on something that has yet to be answered: Who did kill Ken Owen and why? I ask, because I vaguely remember meeting him during a very confused period. He seemed like a pleasant fellow, but I instinctually did not trust him. Who gains from his death and what can it possibly have to do with Exo Shards?

After reading H. Richard Loeb's latest post, I am concerned. It is evident to me that the creation of a Mind Palace in an Anomalous Zone, probably with the help of a Tecthulhu is really the creation of a Dimensional Note -- a state of reality -- a world. What can possibly be the intention of Misty creating a world for the purposes of 'summoning' (manifesting?) an Exogenous Entity. Isn't that simply a modern moustache on 'Summoning Demons?' Has this ever been a beneficial practice? I want to believe that Misty's intentions are good, but, at the risk of straining the metaphor, isn't the road to Hell paved with good intentions? What should we caution Agent of in the upcoming anomaly? Or am I overreacting and reading something into this cryptic post that is not there?

Stein Lightman and Yuri Alaric Nagassa took it upon themselves to inform me that it was an eclipse that proved Einstein's Theory of Relativity. I have been researching the logs from Aftermath of Via Obscura and I came upon an unusual phrase: "Touched by the Lima." What does this mean?

As always, your research, yesterday was extremely impressive. Slightly different topic today, but you will soon see how it reconnects. As I was reassembling my mind, I turned to the ancient practice of building a memory or mind palace in much the way Cicero suggests. It helps to place and organize things. To make order of chaos. To associate mental artifacts in place and in time.To reconstruct (or construct) a reality. My mind palace is quite comprehensive, but always growing. Many of the rooms within it are Anomalous Areas or, at least my construct of them. Some are more mundane. And I realize that the construct of a mind palace is not unlike remote participation. As it appears that Misty is rising on the Essex Radar, a couple questions come to mind... Have we identified either the assassin or whoever hired the assassin to kill her at the Magic Castle AND, do we know who assassinated the Assassin. I am not sure that any of this was ever resolved. I am hoping that I am wrong. I am curious about her 'demons'. It seems that historically magicians have been plagued by demons (I conclude this after a study of vintage magic posters). And what is the relationship between demons and exogenous entities? Forgive me for so many questions.

Forgive me if I have asked this before, but I am trying to figure out what we have heard from Tycho since his appearance at Comic-Con 2012. As we are nearing the 5 year mark, it would not surprise me if we were to hear from him again. Do we know if and how he escaped from the NIA?

I have received an anonymous scholarly tip that the Essex might have made a stop in San Diego before heading to San Francisco. I have no checked the ship's log, but it would be a fascinating development as San Diego was also the first place where Tycho Appeared. It would not surprise me if there was an anomalous zone in that area at that time. In fact, I am beginning to believe that Anomalous Zones are much more common than we might have previously believed. The question is where the Niantic might have landed and what was present in that period. Perhaps it was a routine stop o a long voyage or perhaps there was other meaning. I am having trouble getting the idea that Fletcher and Harlan might have met, but the timelines might not allow for that. I welcome any insights you might have.

It has occurred to me that it was nearly 5 years ago that Tycho appeared at Comic-Con and accosted flint dille on the Buck Rogers panel. But there are some parts of his story that remain mysterious to me. As we all remember, he was led away from the San Diego Convention center in vans that looked somewhat similar to 1331 and to the best of my knowledge, has never been seen again. But his work has emerged in the form of the graphic novel and, I believe other things. I do not know if he was the artist of the archetype cards. I vaguely remember hearing that he had escaped from the NIA, but that might not be true. And, of course, there is the mystery of Tycho's true identity. Was the man we saw at Comic-Con the real Tycho? Was he 'a' Tycho? Was he an impostor? What are we to make of Tycho as we near the fifth anniversary of his appearance and was some could argue was the public beginning of the Niantic Investigation?

Has anybody in Essex or other Tracker groups experimented with Remote Participation in areas not seen in Camp Navarro? It would be fascinating to know what could be revealed or altered if we were to visit places like Persepolis, the Afghan Anomaly or even Ada of Caria's Halicarnassus ruins. Has anybody assembled the compromised assets from the Navarro event? It would be fascinating to see them.

It had occurred to me, after meditating on the Trickster Techthulhu from 13MAGNUS: Reawakens, that it would be very valuable to re-establish contact with +Misty Hannah, both in her present incarnation and through remote participation in the Tiki Bar somewhere in 2012 or perhaps back the Whydah and Marie Celeste as I seem to recall that both of those symposiums delved into Remote Participation. For reasons that might be obvious to some, I hesitate, because of my own fragile psychic condition and, of course, whatever disruptions I might cause in this or other versions of our dimensional node. I need to ask this. For those of you who participated in the remote participation event at Navarro, I ask this: are you having any unusual experiences has your node seemed in any way unstable?

Forgive my absence. I have been monitoring Exogenous Activity since 13MAGNUS: REAWAKENS and despite feeling a some 'emergent energy', it has been very quiet from the Exogenous Entities.--- But I would expect that. But I can't avoid the feeling that something is coming. The question is what? I have some suspicions, but rather than prejudice your reactions, I'll ask this -- what is it? What is going to emerge from the Exogenous world?

As I was not present for the Remote Participation Expedition (Experiment?) (RPE), it would be most excellent to have some first-person accounts of what took place at these events, focussing on the locations, events, objects, unexpected encounters, secrets and revelations of RPE. Second hand accounts would also be useful. These are best chronicled before memories morph. Was anybody reading this actually there?

It appears that a great deal happened at 13MAGNUS: Reawakening. It will undoubtably take some time to debrief and assimilate our findings, but it would be wise to start today while the events of Camp Navarro are fresh in our minds. Of note to me are the revelations of the Remote Participation 'Game' and the rather curious serendipitous or synchronistic events (musket balls and revelation of the Abaddon Magnus). And if you have not observed the Tecthulhu, it is worth doing as soon as a complete link is available. I have heard they were quite extraordinary. What did you -- whether onsite or remote -- find most striking?

I am attempting to talk flint dille into Livestreaming the RPG Remote Participation device, but as he is somewhat inept with such things, I'd suggest having other operatives covertly doing it. Apparently, he is going to be monitoring it, but no DMing it. Colleagues I have spoken to who knew him in the TSR days said gaming with him is reckless and dangerous, though entertaining. He said he might do some Lore Mastering. We'll see how that goes. Meanwhile, on a more ominous note, it seems that a great deal will be revealed at Camp Navarro. The most complex event since 13MAGNUS on some fronts. We will see.

UPDATE: flint dille has agreed to be my eyes and ears at Camp Navarro. Do not think I am appreciative of the risks he continues to take for me. More to the point. Essexians, have each of you connected to Agents who will be on the ground. It would be good to have multiple lines of communication.

It has occurred to me that remote participation will be most effective if Essex members connect with Agents who are actually going to be present at the Anomaly. To that effect, I have contacted flint dille, but he seems to be avoiding me. Of course, I am aware that I have innocently and unwittingly put him in jeopardy in the past, but it seems unlikely that he will experience any danger at 13MAGNUS: REAWAKENING. The idea is to use him like a walk-in. It seems that it would be best if we each have our own contact in the camp to continually update us on what is happening at 13M:R. This promises to be a most... I will not use the word I was going to use -- illuminating experience.

I will be involving myself in an experiment at 13MAGNUS: REAWAKENING. As I will not be able to attend in person, I will be experimenting with Remote Participation. In good conscience, I am not sure I can recommend this for others, but it is fascinating to contemplate how a massive Remote Participation event would manifest and what the implications and results of it would be.

I am presently researching for the 13MAGNUS: Rewakening event. Why do we suppose that the Booneville name for Camp Navarro was 'deep-end?' For the record, I fully believe that in answer to the Question of the Day that the RPG will be a Remote Participation event. My memory is failing me. Was is Waratah or Marie Celeste? I just can't remember, but I do remember clearly that we experimented a great deal with Remote Participation and I am a firm believer in it. I also believe that once you are involved in a Remote Participation, you leave part of yourself there.

I had a most peculiar experience during a psychic probing process that I am not at liberty to describe, but will when the opportunity presents itself. It involved a black vehicle of the past, present and future. I asked if they were talking about NL-1331, which was believed to be infused with the deceased Roland Jarvis' XM. The answer was not clear, but that is my suspicion. If that is true, it would behoove us to explore the past and true nature of 1331 in order to know the future, because the probe indicated that the mystery coach is ‘transitioning.’ I am most curious as to what ‘haunts’ it and what it could become.

I think I can shed a little light into the Intel drop that appeared today on Investigate. The purpose of a number of think tanks and projects that preceded Niantic (Waratah, Marie Celeste -- though my chronology might be off -- and others who's names escape me at this moment) were not only remote viewing, but 'remote presence'. The premise from somebody, Calvin? Kureze? I am unable to recall exactly who, was that if you could 'view' past or 'parallel' events, you could affect them. You were present. I do not remember us coming to a conclusion and it remained an open question. We realized that the paradox was that if we caused a split and returned to our coordinates, we never knew what happened to the split. I have come to suspect that part of my disorientation (which is much improved) is that part of me is on another path.

I can think of almost no other challenge better for Essex than to figure out exactly what this picture shows and who is behind this. Fascinating responses to the Anomalous Zone posting. The following is a list presented to me by the NIA. They did not seem to know about Caddo/Cross Plains (or perhaps San Saba). Which others are missing? Excerpted from Report: The Ingress Investigation has unearthed a few Anomalous Zones in our world. The Afghan Anomalous Zone was where Hank Johnson died and returned as a Simulacrum. The Jahanite Anomalous Zone (akd Jahan’s Palace in India). We know that Hank was able to hide in time in this place and was able to access a library that does not exist in the present day (or is at least out of reach in the present day). ABADDON (ABADN): (Advanced Biological Augmented Dimensional Node) buried below the Niantic Project Facility in CERN. This is a MAGNUS Nest and requires a Prime Object to Enter it. Enlightened Compound near Big Sur: Many of these places have been identified by Sensitives as ‘Power Spots’ on the Earth. We believe Vesuvius was one at the time of the Vesuvian Magnus

I am helping to fashion a study on Anomalous Zones and I want to pass some notes on (I have been authorized) from Henson about the nature of Anomalous Zones. I am not sure exactly what the origin of these notes is, but I would like to see what Essex sees as correct and incorrect in this document: " 1) The opening of Anomalous Zones are believed to be presaged by the creation of Tecthulhus, though this has yet to be proven. (See Rules on Tecthulhus). 2) A ‘Prime Object’ is needed to Enter an Anomalous Zone. One such Prime Object was the Shonin Stone used at the Afghan Anomaly. 3) Prime Objects always re-synchronize with the world after a short time, so Anomalous Zone portals are open for only so long. 4) Space remains largely the same, but time fluctuates in an Anomalous Zone. For instance, Obsidias appeared at the Enlightened Compound. The location might change if it changed over the millennia and all locations might be open for a time. This is DEVELOPING RESEARCH, but I am trying to understand what I am calling THE EXOGENOUS PERIOD. This is a period of unknown duration that existed between the pre-historic period and the early historic period when some scholars speculate that the Exogenous (Shapers/N'zeer and maybe others) were actually in our world on Planet Earth. The Exogenous Period explains why Prime Objects are still on Earth and still functional. It might also explain odd commonalities in ancient mythology and the flowering of early civilizations. What is unknown is the why of it. Why they arrived when they did and why they apparently vanished and were only able to communicate through XM in portals afterwards. My research is very preliminary, but with the oncoming 13MAGNUS REAWAKENING event (I believe that is what it is called), it would be wise to explore the first awakening period. would be quite interested in hearing theories either in support or opposed to the Exogenous Period theory.

I look forward to Essex's conclusions from the recent Transgress event. It seems that there was quite a bit. I have it on good authority that Tycho indeed made an appearance, but there is no agreement on which guest he was. My guess is that it was a mysterious elderly fellow who appeared, though some, believing that Tycho is a title rather than an individual person focussed on a younger woman. I have not seen photos of either potential suspect. And, having poured through some of the NIA's files from the Niantic Project period, I am very close to being able to share a revelation I've had.

Fascinating responses to the Archetype questions. It has occurred to me, though I have hardly settled on this theory, that such things as Astrology and Tarot bear the same relationship to Primal Archetyping that man made imitations of Prime Object bear to their original counterparts. For instance, suppose that the original resonators on earth appeared like obelisks, man then made obelisks first to re-capture the power of them and the originals and then forgot the early impulse and considered them interesting decoration. And I would not rule out a the possibility that we have dominant and subdominant archetypes. So we all might possess different degrees or archetypes, and they might shift. This is only speculation, but I am interested in your thoughts.

While I admit it might sound superfluous, I was fascinated by the results of the Archetype poll. I do not know what category I am. I am fascinated by what Archetypes Essex members consider themselves to be in. I suspect I know the answer, but I have found that inquiry is good. Do not answer if you prefer to keep it private.

I have been queried as to the powers of a MAGNUS. Curiously, there is little in the known literature about the powers of a Magnus. I have extracted that, for instance, the Vesuvian Magnus was able to create the Aegis Nova and quite possibly a Tecthulhu. But what are the powers and purposes of a Magnus. Calvin's Magnus created the Scanner and Epiphany night resulting in the dispersal of XM, so Magnus' might well serve as Liminal groups to move mankind from one era to another. What else do we know?

Excellent work. We should explore this along with the implication of sub-dominant traits that some Essexians have suggested. Secondary Archetypes we all might possess. Originally shared by Ariel Diana (Arielsmurfeater) I did some research into the traits of the different MAGNUS archetypes asked in H. Richard Loeb's post and thought I'd post a summer of each from what I've learned. Alchemist The Alchemist is a person who is able to create things or transforms an items or situation, in a mysterious or impressive way that can seem like magic to others. The alchemist, no matter what you call it (Magician, Wizard, Scientist, Inventor etc.) has a common trait that allows them to convert some form of matter into some form of an altered expression of itself. Some are able to get results that are outside the “normal”, others are associated with having supernatural powers, transmuting base metals into gold, even spiritual transformation. I have asked Chapeau to poll agents on this subject, but it is an issue we should give extended thought to inside Essex for, I believe that our abilities will be in great demand shortly. More later.

I have been asked to assemble a list of possible 13MAGNUS and ANTI-MAGNUS groups from history. Other than the Vesuvian Magnus, none seems to be mentioned by name, but we have strong reason to believe that Alexander and Ada of Caria were members of one, perhaps along with Aristotle, Ptolomy,, etcetera. Its also been suggested that the Hellfire Club and perhaps even the American Founding fathers were a Magnus. The earliest Magnus was, perhaps the Egyptian Pantheon of Gods... What are other possible Magnus' from the past? What am I forgetting? Feel free to speculate.

In my inquiries I have noted a number of different opinions on the nature of the Tecthulhu. I have a suspicion that more will be emerging, but I am going to be inquiring not only with Essex but also Hank Johnson , H. Richard Loeb , Devra Bogdanovich and others. It would be fascinating to know what the corporations think. I am quite sure they have been doing research on this topic. And what of Oliver Lynton-Wolfe ? He seems to have been curiously silent on this subject. And for that matter, what of Agent KodamaSmiles . But first, you. What do you think?

This is speculation on my part, but I am beginning to believe that as more Howcraft and Felicia fragments surface, we will discover that they are both accounts of the same series of events told from very different perspectives. It seems that Felicia has 'mental access' and can see into the thoughts of others in more or less present tense and reality (NOTE: we need a word for the Apparent place and time in which we perceive ourselves to be living) for brief glimpses while Howcraft sees events, but interprets them through the eyes of asynchronous viewers. Is that correct?

I realize that I have not properly responded to the October 21 question of the day and I realize that it is a bit of a trick question. Put simply: "Shapers and N’zeer were able to transgress our reality more freely" is the most direct, correct answer. That having been said, the other three answers were results of the preceding. I would love to hear from those who think it was 'something else?' What else could it have been?

I have one further thought on the Question on the author(s) of the Howcraft document: Did they believe they were writing fiction when they wrote it -- and beyond that, is fiction possibly just reality watched from a different dimension?

My answer to the October 14 Question of the Day is complex. Would you expect anything else from me? The Narrator is unknown, by definition, because he does not identify himself. So that answer cannot be incorrect. As to Obsidius (Obsidias to some), he has been identified as 1st Century Roman. However, it seems that he has an ability to visit other times. However, there is no mention of either Syphax or Sybella. That, in and of himself does not rule him out, but it does not support the case that it is Obsidius. It seems fairly clear to me that the observer was looking at a technological object... Quite possibly the Tecthulhu itself and I would suspect that Hank would be able to identify it... I fear that by even posting these thoughts you will begin to think that my mind has regressed to its previous state. I am holding onto sanity carefully, but I can not repress this thought. Suppose there really is an Miskatonic University but the reality of it is hidden in a slight transdimensional warp from the real university and that the key to it is either found in XM infusion or some form of primal object? Perhaps that is where the Howcraft Tectulu manuscript was for the better part of a century and somebody broke into what is commonly believed to be a fictional place and returned. Its been nearly three months since Nigel Moyer died. I have a feeling that if we're going to get to the bottom of Susanna's mystery, we have to re-assemble Nigel Moyer. We have begun to hear quite a bit about Devra's 'Vault.' It was so long ago that I really 'knew' her that I have no idea what it means. Is it my imagination, or is anybody else hearing echoes of Krakow in Wroclaw? And I do not ask this to distract from the investigation into Susanna Moyer's disappearance, but it seems to me that it is not a coincidence that as Susanna and Klue vanish, Devra re-activates. So let's get to the real question: If you were Susanna after Brooklyn, where would you go and what would you do?

I have developed a great interest in the whereabouts of Jahan. I suspect that we can detect whether she has returned to portal areas where we know she has been before. Gr33n Wra1th's comment has been haunting me ever since I read it. We really don't know what happened to Susanna Moyer and Klue after Aegis Nova. After Jahan's comment that something 'sad' (I forget the exact term), there is nothing. Did she say anything about it in Denver? I'm trying to reconstruct the circumstances of Susanna's last days (if they were her last days). Her father was found dead off Brooklyn and she took off to find out who did it. Do we have any theories as to where she went, and who, in fact killed Nigel Moyer?

This was forwarded to me by Linda Besh. It is quite fascinating. Where I differ from the researcher is that she tends to view the observation of XM colors and unusual sounds around portals as a kind of 'hallucination.' A few thoughts on the current status of events after the last anomaly. It is not my stock and trade to comment on Anomaly results. There are others who are much more informed and better at this than I am, but I do not believe we have ever resulted in a tie before. Could this be the result of some form of a Shaper/N'zeer treaty, not unlike what appears to have happened after the destruction of the Vesuvius Magnus and their Shield? Is this call to fan out and investigate new portals part of a joint effort by these factions to spread, what I'll call XM genes around the world? Via Luxe means the 'Way of Light'. Given that I am unaware of my actual birthday for reasons that we need not go into here, this is as good a time as any to celebrate it. Presently, I am endeavoring to make sense of Obsidias' posts. Before I venture an opinion, what do you make of them? It is clear that the times after the Vesuvian Magnus mirror own post Aegis Nova times... But what else are you seeing?

In answer to those of you who suggest that this mysterious new surge of portal activity is the prophesied "Nova" and that the Nova crashing into the shield will unleash the New Wave many have asked about, I can only offer that I know nothing to refute that theory, but I can not confirm it, either. More Obsidias Fragments: I believe these are the last. I have been slow to come to this New Wave = Nova theory, but I am beginning to lend some credence to it. Processing now. I can now release two more fragments from Obsidias. They are cryptic in and of themselves, but a picture is beginning to emerge which ominously reflects our current times. It is probably not an accident that these are surfacing now. FRAGMENT 1: "My life is like similar to living in a dream. I now understand some of Cybella’s powers. She would see our current place from a distant time and her observations were understood as prophesies. In those moments when I have found myself in uncharted and unknown lands, I truly believe that I have died and entered another world." FRAGMENT 2: In an ominous development, it seems that Syphax is navigating these worlds with Cybella and myself, but I am beginning to suspect that his mission is not so much to kill us for certainly he would have had that opportunity, but to follow us to distant times and places and carry out unknown missions ordered by unknown masters.

Forgive me for taking so much time with the Translations of flint dille's Obsidias harvests. They are complex. Here is second Obsidias text from near Vienna: It is as if the Shield has been pierced by thousands of arrows and there are places where time and space and other ethers leak back and forth. It is evident to me that some of these holes lead to other epochs, whilst remaining in the same location, for instance, this portal in Vindonium seems to move in time but not space as the eternal objects on the horizon remain the same and some of the buildings remain but often in dilapidated condition. Other portals seem to lead to different locations in regions entirely unknown to me. The portal will be high on snow covered hill but will lead to one by an ocean surrounded by tall fir trees.
