The official story was that Henry Bowles hired him simply to tune ADA to pass the neo-Turing test. The deeper question is whether Bowles was hired because it was known that he would hire Loeb aka P.A. Chapeau. Looking at time backwards, one could conclude that Anti-Magnus saw the creation of ADA as essential to the N’zeer’s return to our realm. It is evident to me that many of the actions taken by Loeb, Devra, Bowles and other members of the Niantic team unwittingly played into a well hewn plan from Jahan, Calvin and their Anti-Magnus operatives to bring the return of the N’zeer. An example I would give is Devra’s work at the CDC in unleashing the Portal Virus during the Helios period.
