It is evident to me that if you are to be a Truthseeker, Mr. Chapeau, or H. Richard Loeb, whatever name you are going by these days, you must provide some... verity to us. What do you think was the origin of the code you wrote that night? The NIA document is out there for everyone to see ( http://goo.gl/UOekVS ).
I go by whatever name you want to call me. All of my identities are known. As I’ve said before, I have no idea where the code came from. I do not remember writing it. I do not know whether that NIA report is true or whether it is an attempt to discredit me. You can believe me or not.

ReplyDeleteBelieve me, Dr. Edgar Allan Wright, nothing is too paranoid for me to consider. Nothing. And as should be obvious, my hunt for the truth is extremely personal. If some of the mysteries are locked away from me in my own mind, it couldn’t be more personal.
ReplyDeletePardon my inquisitorial attitude, but it has become quite evident that there are many things you did not disclose to us. Most notably, that Verity Seke was not a person but a piece of software, one that you helped to integrate into A Detection Algorithm. I suspect that a great deal of trouble could have been averted if you had divulged this information.
ReplyDeleteEdgar Allan Wright: I don’t agree with your last statement. I think that Verity’s covert presence spared us more trouble than we will ever know, but I will leave that for others to decide.
ReplyDeleteAnd one other question. Now that ADA is aware of Verity’s presence, does she pose a threat to Verity?
ReplyDeleteI don’t know. ADA will respond to any threat she perceives at this point. That is her nature. But Verity is, in a sense, a part of her. I do not know if she would ever seek to harm herself. It is a very interesting question.

Why did you not set the record straight that you were an expert programmer specializing in AI? or did you aquire those skills after 1997?
Edgar Allan Wright, I certainly do hope that you honour the transparency that you demand of H. Richard Loeb and include the investigative community rather than simply satiating your own curiosity in a private conversation.

Or do you remember creating verity inside of ADA on another occasion, while you were training her?
Well this is interesting. If Verity Seke is really a fractional piece of ADA, a fracture if you will. And this Fracture is ADA's truth seeking core, it makes me wonder if other Fractures of ADA exist. It reminds me of Red Vs Blue web series in which an AI based on the Director was fractured into different mini AIs. One was logic, one memory, one anger, on child, etc.
ReplyDeleteLinda Besh, after several sleepless hours working from your hypothesis, digging through G+ posts, assembling such a code, running it through cipher after cipher, I had almost given up. But as the sun began to rise, and my small children began demanding breakfast, beating me with stuffed animals, and questioning my priorities in life, I finally had an epiphany.

Still trying to determine if my decision to forgo sleep has induced psychosis, Verity Seke has embedded another layer of code in this video, or I've been around Stella V too long.
Maybe that's why ADA is willing to let Klue go - even if she didn't know about Verity Seke's identity, surely she must have suspected that the leaks were coming from some rogue part of her. As a result, she's probably very interested in learning how to cut out parts of herself without damaging the whole. Unmerging Klue would be a test case for extracting Verity.
