Behind the scanner sent me three questions that I did not answer because I was forced to leave the broadcast before it was over.  I believe it was a narrow escape.

Here is the first question and answer:

Jorge: Ken Loui would like to ask you Dr. Wright if there multiple layers of existence?

EAW:  Doesn’t that seem obvious?  Not only are there multiple layers, but they are connected--all connected in some networked, interlinked whole.  Past, Present, Future…  Desire and Fear… They are all linked. Slowly we are beginning to see how they are held together.  The ultimate goal is to know the past, perceive the present, and understand the future.  Maybe sometimes prevent it.  I also believe that realities split and shard apart.

  1. Desire and fear is something that is always present on the ingress world. Could we try to identify which is the desires and fear of all of the investigators? with so many variables, it maybe show some light on things to come

  2. I like to use a video game analogy to explain my way of seeing this.

When you're playing, you see a coherent world in front of you. But in reality, those things are just stored in memory. Past events, future events are all there, things that haven't appeared yet or have been already destroyed still exist as well, it's simply the instance of them in your current world that is seen in a different way. Someone else could play the same game, still see them. Someone could mod the game, see them in a different way, without changing yours. Someone could feed the data to a hex editor, or read it as a bitmap, or feed it to a sound device, and get something totally different from the same data.

I think the universe and everything works in a similar way. We're just all reading and writing to one big non-dimensional, "timeless" blob of interacting data, in our own different ways. Each world's interpretation of said data makes the rules for that world, and there's a nearly infinite amount of ways to read it.

I think there's actually a lot of interference between views, but there's just so much that it's lost as background noise in most cases.

  3. Not only multiple layers of external reality but multiple layers of oneself. Each encounter patterns us at that moment but should we return to a place we are not entirely the same as we were.

  4. Is that what happened to you Dr. Wright¿ As you studied this phenomena, did your past present future layers entangle and fracture?
