Extremely helpful answers to Jarvis' death. Another thing I've been puzzling, and there might not be a known answer, but we know that the Niantic researchers were 'simulacrized' as they did their onboarding at CERN. Do we know when this happened -- a month? Do we know if there was an order to the simulacrisms? Did anybody escape this? (I think I know the answer and am interested in either confirmation or challenge

Phillips (and Ni?) were present but not converted that we know of. Hubert Farlowe is an outlier since his exposure seems to be second-hand via Roland Jarvis.

ReplyDeleteI've always held onto the suspicion that the Researchers were dominates simulacra by Epiphany Night.
As for when, I'm not sure. Origins tells us how Calvin brought in the team but doesn't show us when Calvin performed the simulacra-zation(for lack of a better word) of the team(which I personally was disheartened to see.)
My running guess is that, in Origins, it's before the majority of the team was going though the debriefing by Devra.
Interestingly, according to Niantic Project Files Volume 2 Devra states : "There is one other individual in the room. In fact, this entity is everywhere within the Niantic research lab here at CERN,... Her name is ADA." What exactly was ADAs doing that night?

ReplyDeleteThat phrase is from Devra's intro to the Niantic team. It's her introduction to ADA.
She was simply doing what she normally did: listen...always, everywhere.
Henry Bowles is H. Richard Loeb buddy. They go back a long way. He was A Detection Algorithm's primary creator-the one who actually wrote the code and built ADA from scratch. Loeb then brought Truthseeker in to complete the process and also 'tuned' ADA, training her to function as human-like as possible.
Bowles would go onto build a program that could terminate ADA. With the help of 855, a deadly assassin who was formally part of the NIA and was also ADA's first attempt at merging with a human mind(she failed and scrambled his mind in the process), he shut down ADA from the digital network on August 6th, 2015.
Or so he thought.
Ingress Origins states that all of them at Epiphany Night were affected.

ReplyDeleteWell, that seems to look to me that the NIA was behind Niantic and Calvin was an undercover agent rather than he being the one that set up Niantic. I am curious who the director of the NIA was at the time. It looks like he was reporting to director.

ReplyDeleteBut, I do have to say from that document it looks like he is reporting to someone else but as lead investigator. Sure there is a better name than that for him but I don't know how their ranks run.

ReplyDeleteWe know Niantic on-boarding happened after Hank Johnson was killed in Afghanistan e.g after February 2012 and before Devra's phone was stolen in June 2012. So I think it happened around April 2012.

Misty Hannah 5. Stein Lightman 6. Martin Schubert 7. Oliver Lynton-Wolfe 8. Carrie Campbell 9. Enoch Dalby 10. Roland Jarvis 11. Yuri Nagassa
Hank Johnson visits later ABADN chamber with Jahan. Jarvis body is missing. He was not present during epiphany as he went to shoot Nomad show. So we may say he escaped the process. Also P.A.C. And Henry Bowles didn't turn into simulacras though they were present at CERN. They were not part of the core team however so they probably were not meant to be put to ABADN.
