It has occurred to me that it was nearly 5 years ago that Tycho appeared at Comic-Con and accosted flint dille on the Buck Rogers panel. But there are some parts of his story that remain mysterious to me. As we all remember, he was led away from the San Diego Convention center in vans that looked somewhat similar to 1331 and to the best of my knowledge, has never been seen again.

But his work has emerged in the form of the graphic novel and, I believe other things. I do not know if he was the artist of the archetype cards. I vaguely remember hearing that he had escaped from the NIA, but that might not be true.

And, of course, there is the mystery of Tycho's true identity. Was the man we saw at Comic-Con the real Tycho? Was he 'a' Tycho? Was he an impostor?

What are we to make of Tycho as we near the fifth anniversary of his appearance and was some could argue was the public beginning of the Niantic Investigation?

  1. Edgar Allan Wright, I think your second option is the correct one, he was a Tycho.

I think that it's a title that's passed from artist to artist, and with it comes the ability to see the events of Remote Participation Events and place those into vibrant images that we've come to know.

As flint dille himself said that a Tycho was there at his Transgress event as well, and the description of that tycho did not match the tycho at the Comic-con.

  2. We have thought that both Tycho and Felicia Hajra-Lee represented some form of an Archetype - maybe not one associated with the MAGNUS but something else?

  3. Do you think we are dealing with a stand alone situation like the laughing man on gosth in the shell SAC ? The situation seem similar...

  4. There's a reason hardly anyone noticed when Dagwood changed appearances in Bewitched. If people do notice is because they cared more about the actor than the character. So please just replace who you are going to replace and let's get pass this archetype exploration. And for gawds sake tie up a story line once in a while or blame it on the N'zeer ala Days of Our Lives style - they can be Stefano.

  6. Tycho, to me, seems to be a "sensitive" that seems to be able to either switch bodies, or be a part of some collective. Regardless, the concept of "Tycho" seems to be associated with someone of heightened creativity. Maybe there are different levels of sensitivity to XM. Some seem to be very attuned to XM, and others not so much. I think it might be possible that the concept of Tycho may be someone who is either attuned to XM, but doesn't quite understand.

  7. Tycho is an Archetype. I suspect this category falls outside of the 13 as a hybrid type.

  8. I don't think Tycho is an Archetype. I think he is a visionary/dreamer/catalyst who is not part of any magnus.

Or maybe Tycho is a psychic entity who is jumping between host bodies.

  9. I think the answer even goes back to project Wydah. Tycho C. revealed that NIA wanted him to join this project. It is clear that Tycho C. Was under NIA radar well before Niantic. It is very strange that NIA let him be to speak freely in public. Maybe this was part of the plot to disguise Niantic project. Maybe Ken Owen is behind this. Its not clear if another Wydah member Edgar Allan Wright is able to share more about Wydah project plans with Tycho C. I more believe Ezekiel Calvin was the only one who knew. I think he holds the answer to who was Tycho C. at Comic-Con and what is his current status.

  10. Kosh TheRipper Yes. I am coming to the same conclusion that you did about Tycho. Tycho is a title. However, there was a Tycho at Comic-Con 2012 who was kidnapped by the NIA and I am prepared to believe was rescued by Misty Hannah. That is a theory we must entertain. And most likely, that Tycho... Let's call him Comic-Con Tycho or (C-C TYCHO) is the one who was at Whydah. I vaguely remember him. He seemed reclusive, though his behavior at C-C was not reclusive.

  11. Edgar Allan Wright Interesting you bring up Misty and Whydah. Misty was there too. Maybe they became friends, or some sort of associates? I wonder if Tycho and Misty were early Resistance and Enlightened sensitives, respectively. They both seen to exhibit personality traits of their respective sides.

  12. I think Edgar Allan Wright's hypothesis of close connection between Misty Hannah and Tycho C. From Whydah are very sound. We may speculate that they are the strongest sensitives of the current age. They have (or maybe had) the ability to Flash Forward to the future, unlike any other sensitive. Misty Hannah is like Cybella of the current age. Is Tycho C. modern Obsidius?
