The concept of 'Pepper's Ghost has been presented to me. Most specifically, I was told by a source that I was peering into the eyes of Pepper's Ghost. What does this mean?

Comments

  1. Pepper's Ghost is a reflection on a surface that also permits light from the other side of it, causing a phantasm to appear.

To me the implication is that you are interacting with not a thing itself but its reflection on an unseen barrier.

Note also that the illusion often used a double of the entire area the viewer is meant to see.

Who said this, or more importantly in what context?

  2. Maybe that what we are starting to understand is just a projection of the reality. A part of it. With all the projections we should be able to understand more. Like http://www.blogincytde.energynewsmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/dualidad1.png

  3. Xavi Dolz Zamora the simulacrum process of Abaddon is almost like this: we see an XM projection of a human who is elsewhere.

  6. Perhaps starting into the eyes of a simulacrum is like this, staring at something that isn't actually there.

Also it could mean that something visible which we can see may bot actually be there. Possibly the location of Abaddon? The magnus nest might not be where we are led to believe it is

  7. Did you mean "ghost peppers"? That's some hot stuff. Maybe that's why Hank got side-tracked to Avery Island (Home of Tabasco brand pepper sauce? )

  9. Perhaps in the way we've learned that everyone who's interacted with xm has had a copy of them replicated on the other side, they are saying you are seeing yourself or someone else through their copy, bridging off Jim's comments. Context is a lot though..

  10. If this was said to you by Hank Johnson when you met with him maybe he was using a coded message to warn you that he wasn't totally in control of himself anymore. He could have chosen a phrase likely to be misunderstood by an intelligence that isn't well versed in human phrasing or lore...

  11. Given recent events, I wonder if xm isn't about influence at all so much as confusion. A control mechanism to keep us from advancing at all. Sensitives seek isolation and clarity comes when they're away from xm hot spots... But those who are always exposed to xm ... Their allegiance shifts repeatedly and there's no... Progress

  12. Yik Sheng Lee Did I misunderstand?  I thought Edgar Allan Wright was meeting with Hank Johnson on the way to Oakland, so I assumed the meeting already happened...
