This is speculation on my part, but I am beginning to believe that as more Howcraft and Felicia fragments surface, we will discover that they are both accounts of the same series of events told from very different perspectives. It seems that Felicia has 'mental access' and can see into the thoughts of others in more or less present tense and reality (NOTE: we need a word for the Apparent place and time in which we perceive ourselves to be living) for brief glimpses while Howcraft sees events, but interprets them through the eyes of asynchronous viewers. Is that correct?

I realize that I have not properly responded to the October 21 question of the day and I realize that it is a bit of a trick question. Put simply: "Shapers and N’zeer were able to transgress our reality more freely" is the most direct, correct answer. That having been said, the other three answers were results of the preceding. I would love to hear from those who think it was 'something else?' What else could it have been?

I have one further thought on the Question on the author(s) of the Howcraft document: Did they believe they were writing fiction when they wrote it -- and beyond that, is fiction possibly just reality watched from a different dimension?

I am not yet prepared to answer today's Question of the day, yet and am very interested in input from Operation Essex and others... The thing I find most curious is the Tecthulhu... Unless I am very wrong, it is the culmination of research done from antiquity to Die Glocke to now.... I am feeling that Nigel Moyer's research is going to be at the base of it and Susanna's post San Diego journeys are the key. Look for more pieces of the Howcraft Manuscript and Felicia's works.

Question of the Day 10/15 Answer: The question of Devra's Vault is fascinating to me. Sometimes, simply asking a question begets answers not only to that question, but other unstated questions. While technically, the correct answer might be 'A memory from Devra's Childhood', the question in and of itself begets discussion about a secret backup facility for Niantic Researcher memories. I have a very strong suspicion that such a place and thing exists, but I have to revisit that. Do we know that such a backup exists? Is there evidence of it? And what of the Portal Virus. It is my clear impression that she used the last of it at Hulong and, as you know, she has resisted every attempt I've made to open a dialogue with her. I'm not sure why. We are adults, Devra. And... My answer to the October 14 Question of the Day is complex. Would you expect anything else from me? The Narrator is unknown, by definition, because he does not identify himself. So that answer cannot be incorrect. As to Obsidius (Obsidias to some), he has been identified as 1st Century Roman. However, it seems that he has an ability to visit other times. However, there is no mention of either Syphax or Sybella. That, in and of himself does not rule him out, but it does not support the case that it is Obsidius. It seems fairly clear to me that the observer was looking at a technological object... Quite possibly the Tecthulhu itself and I would suspect that Hank would be able to identify it... Or maybe if my theories about his mind-hacking at the Miskatonic Library are accurate, maybe he couldn't. The jury is out. But Hank is not my first choice. Josiah Harlan... Interesting. PAC has asked me to supply him with questions of the day on the Investigate Ingress page, as he is heavily engaged on other matters (he declined to say what those are) and he remembers that I used to pose questions to the Essex Community. Fascinating question about the narrator of the Howcraft document... I have my theory, but I'll save it for later. At the moment, unknown Narrator is winning, but I look forward to your responses.
