This is speculation on my part, but I am beginning to believe that as more Howcraft and Felicia fragments surface, we will discover that they are both accounts of the same series of events told from very different perspectives. It seems that Felicia has 'mental access' and can see into the thoughts of others in more or less present tense and reality (NOTE: we need a word for the Apparent place and time in which we perceive ourselves to be living) for brief glimpses while Howcraft sees events, but interprets them through the eyes of asynchronous viewers. Is that correct?

I realize that I have not properly responded to the October 21 question of the day and I realize that it is a bit of a trick question. Put simply: "Shapers and N’zeer were able to transgress our reality more freely" is the most direct, correct answer. That having been said, the other three answers were results of the preceding. I would love to hear from those who think it was 'something else?' What else could it have been?

I have one further thought on the Question on the author(s) of the Howcraft document: Did they believe they were writing fiction when they wrote it -- and beyond that, is fiction possibly just reality watched from a different dimension?

I am not yet prepared to answer today's Question of the day, yet and am very interested in input from Operation Essex and others... The thing I find most curious is the Tecthulhu... Unless I am very wrong, it is the culmination of research done from antiquity to Die Glocke to now.... Question of the Day 10/15 Answer: The question of Devra's Vault is fascinating to me. Sometimes, simply asking a question begets answers not only to that question, but other unstated questions. While technically, the correct answer might be 'A memory from Devra's Childhood', the question in and of itself begets discussion about a secret backup facility for Niantic Researcher memories. I have a very strong suspicion that such a place and thing exists, but I have to revisit that. Do we know that such a backup exists? Is there evidence of it? And what of the Portal Virus. My answer to the October 14 Question of the Day is complex. Would you expect anything else from me? The Narrator is unknown, by definition, because he does not identify himself. So that answer cannot be incorrect. As to Obsidius (Obsidias to some), he has been identified as 1st Century Roman. However, it seems that he has an ability to visit other times. However, there is no mention of either Syphax or Sybella. That, in and of himself does not rule him out, but it does not support the case that it is Obsidius. It seems fairly clear to me that the observer was looking at a technological object... Quite possibly the Tecthulhu itself and I would suspect that Hank would be able to identify it... I fear that by even posting these thoughts you will begin to think that my mind has regressed to its previous state. I am holding onto sanity carefully, but I can not repress this thought. Suppose there really is an Miskatonic University but the reality of it is hidden in a slight transdimensional warp from the real university and that the key to it is either found in XM infusion or some form of primal object? Perhaps that is where the Howcraft Tectulu manuscript was for the better part of a century and somebody broke into what is commonly believed to be a fictional place and returned. As I suggested, you might think I've descended into madness, but this is my thought.

I am fascinated by developments in this Anomaly. It is my suspicion that somehow Akira managed to get her hands on the lost Howard/Lovecraft manuscript that Hank has been searching for. If anybody gets a confirm on this, please tell me. I'm not asking you to share the document, just tell me you've seen it. Same with whatever Kodama cryptically dropped off.

Its been nearly three months since Nigel Moyer died. I have a feeling that if we're going to get to the bottom of Susanna's mystery, we have to re-assemble Nigel Moyer. If he were to have hidden his information, and let's say it is not available on-line... Where would it have been? If Susanna didn't go directly to India, where did she go? And, the larger thing to ponder is what secret did he have and did it have anything to do with the new wave?

After pouring over documents, I came to one curious question. Why did the New Wave Resistance 'activate' Devra? What is in it for them? Has anybody asked Mr. Chapeau how he managed to arrive at this event in the nick of time. Is he working with New Wave Resistance? If so, why? I am beginning to develop a unified theory as to what is happening now and it involves the strange account of what became of Susanna Moyer. It comes from an account from a 'JP' and involves Susanna Moyer: He was trying to learn what they knew about Susanna but they didn’t have much to offer. His interpretation of their conversation was that the ‘New Enlightened’ or ‘The New Ones’ (translation unclear) had taken Susanna under their wing. They had changed her somehow. She got sick, then she got better, then she got strange. All of this in just a few days. They said by the time Susanna had left to go face Jahan, she was a ‘New One’ too. We have begun to hear quite a bit about Devra's 'Vault.' It was so long ago that I really 'knew' her that I have no idea what it means. Is it my imagination, or is anybody else hearing echoes of Krakow in Wroclaw? And I do not ask this to distract from the investigation into Susanna Moyer's disappearance, but it seems to me that it is not a coincidence that as Susanna and Klue vanish, Devra re-activates. So let's get to the real question: If you were Susanna after Brooklyn, where would you go and what would you do?

I have developed a great interest in the whereabouts of Jahan. I suspect that we can detect whether she has returned to portal areas where we know she has been before. If they were imprinted, they may recognize her. Where do we know she has been? Obviously Brooklyn, London. San Francisco. Los Angeles. San Diego? Is there a list of known anomalies she was present for and/or places she has reported from?

Gr33n Wra1th's comment has been haunting me ever since I read it. We really don't know what happened to Susanna Moyer and Klue after Aegis Nova. After Jahan's comment that something 'sad' (I forget the exact term), there is nothing. Did she say anything about it in Denver? I'm trying to reconstruct the circumstances of Susanna's last days (if they were her last days). Her father was found dead off Brooklyn and she took off to find out who did it. Do we have any theories as to where she went, and who, in fact killed Nigel Moyer?

This was forwarded to me by Linda Besh. It is quite fascinating. Where I differ from the researcher is that she tends to view the observation of XM colors and unusual sounds around portals as a kind of 'hallucination.' Not to be Contrarian, but I believe these phenomenon are caused by the release of XM which allows 'Sensitives' to see the true nature of the Ingression. I have had such experiences. A few thoughts on the current status of events after the last anomaly. It is not my stock and trade to comment on Anomaly results. There are others who are much more informed and better at this than I am, but I do not believe we have ever resulted in a tie before. Could this be the result of some form of a Shaper/N'zeer treaty, not unlike what appears to have happened after the destruction of the Vesuvius Magnus and their Shield? Is this call to fan out and investigate new portals part of a joint effort by these factions to spread, what I'll call XM genes around the world? Via Luxe means the 'Way of Light'. Is it leading to another way? These are fascinating times?

Extremely helpful answers to Jarvis' death. Another thing I've been puzzling, and there might not be a known answer, but we know that the Niantic researchers were 'simulacrized' as they did their onboarding at CERN. Do we know when this happened -- a month? Do we know if there was an order to the simulacrisms? Did anybody escape this? (I think I know the answer and am interested in either confirmation or challenge Was anybody present at Epiphany night on 12/1 not a simulacrum?

Forgive me for being out of contact. I am working on an exegesis on what I believe the implications of Obsidias' journeys are, but I find I must digress strictly to a summary of what I believe is happening now. In an attempt to understand the New Wave phenomenon, I was perusing the communique. It contains a revealing section about technological augmentation. Are there examples of such augmentation and how to we relate this to Obsidias' latest drops (which appear to have simultaneously been created two millennia ago and now? Yik Sheng Lee has informed me that today is my birthday in his time zone. Given that I am unaware of my actual birthday for reasons that we need not go into here, this is as good a time as any to celebrate it. Presently, I am endeavoring to make sense of Obsidias' posts. Before I venture an opinion, what do you make of them? It is clear that the times after the Vesuvian Magnus mirror own post Aegis Nova times... But what else are you seeing?

In answer to those of you who suggest that this mysterious new surge of portal activity is the prophesied "Nova" and that the Nova crashing into the shield will unleash the New Wave many have asked about, I can only offer that I know nothing to refute that theory, but I can not confirm it, either. I suspect we will know much more very soon.

More Obsidias Fragments: I believe these are the last. I have been slow to come to this New Wave = Nova theory, but I am beginning to lend some credence to it. Processing now. Here are the two last fragments unearthed by flint dille in either Paris or Vienna. Perhaps he can enlighten us. (Pardon the pun). FRAGMENT 1: "I do not believe that Syphax’s masters reside solely in his mind. I believe they actually exist and actually speak to him. For I too have heard voices. Not intelligible voices, or voice that speak a known tongue, but voices that speak in a tongue that is understood deep within if not on the surface. Syphax has taken to wearing odd jewels and bits of metal, the meaning of which I do not understand. And I do not know that they are jewels as they seem to emit light of their own." FRAGMENT 2: "Along with the odd developments of Syphax, something very strange has become of Cybella. Her hair has suddenly turned white and her eyes are the radiant color...

I can now release two more fragments from Obsidias. They are cryptic in and of themselves, but a picture is beginning to emerge which ominously reflects our current times. It is probably not an accident that these are surfacing now. FRAGMENT 1: "My life is like similar to living in a dream. I now understand some of Cybella’s powers. She would see our current place from a distant time and her observations were understood as prophesies. In those moments when I have found myself in uncharted and unknown lands, I truly believe that I have died and entered another world." FRAGMENT 2: In an ominous development, it seems that Syphax is navigating these worlds with Cybella and myself, but I am beginning to suspect that his mission is not so much to kill us for certainly he would have had that opportunity, but to follow us to distant times and places and carry out unknown missions ordered by unknown masters.

Forgive me for taking so much time with the Translations of flint dille's Obsidias harvests. They are complex. Here is second Obsidias text from near Vienna: It is as if the Shield has been pierced by thousands of arrows and there are places where time and space and other ethers leak back and forth. It is evident to me that some of these holes lead to other epochs, whilst remaining in the same location, for instance, this portal in Vindonium seems to move in time but not space as the eternal objects on the horizon remain the same and some of the buildings remain but often in dilapidated condition. Other portals seem to lead to different locations in regions entirely unknown to me. The portal will be high on snow covered hill but will lead to one by an ocean surrounded by tall fir trees.

Forgive my negligence. flint dille did indeed forward some Obsidias missives upon his return. I have some trepidation in posting them. I have stripped out some sections, frankly because I fear that I might jeopardize the lives of some who lived long ago on our string, but are very much alive in others. I have seen much lately that is difficult to explain. Here is a first installment from Obsidias. I believe it was planted in Britannia (a rRoman Province at the time) near Dover. Obsidias, who could not have known about quantum mechanics or string theory was experiencing very similar things to what I have been experiencing: "I have long since forsaken posting these missives. Forgive my silence for the past few days. As I think many of you suspect,, much is changing and will change. I feel a new era coming on. At this moment, I feel that our times/space wave is very closely connected to the journey of Obsidias.... It is as if he left clues which were designed to lay dormant until a time when they could be understood. This is just my suspicion Even as I write this, I feel only partly anchored... Many have been asking if I will be able to Manifest at the Viva event in Paris on July 2. I do not know if this will be possible. I will try. I have asked flint dille  to be there... Will keep you posted.

As I am not able, for reasons that will,I fear become obvious, to travel to highly volatile Anomalous Zones, I have persuaded Mr.Dille to visit Paris on the 2nd of July and Stonehenge on the Summer Solstice. I believe there will be valuable information for him to find at both of those location as well as other areas in Britain and France. I much appreciate his carrying out this mission which I will be unable to do, especially in light of his kidnapping in Seattle. Let us hope this does not happen again.

I am extremely heartened by the #saveklue  protests, however, I am disturbed that I have heard no reassurance from the Acolyte. I will tell you, anecdotally, that I 'feel' a difference in portal emanations, but as I do not believe myself to be a 'sensitive', I do not know what to make of this, if anything. Keep up the pressure. Jarvis and the Acolyte are heading into very dangerous territory -- as indeed are Lynton-Wolfe and Ada. I look forward to discovery of more Obsidias fragments.. Following up on my 1331 query of a few days ago. I have been receiving communications from an anonymous source that 1331 is, in fact, being controlled from within the Shaper Substrate by one known as lEEl or LEEL. As this vehicle is believed to have transported Roland Jarvis' highly XM infused corpse, it stands to reason that LEEL is, in fact, Roland Jarvis and that the driver is acting wittingly or unwittingly at his command. The other curious thing is that despite having a posted schedule, the NIA is curiously unable to find the vehicle. That would suggest to me that it creates its own anomalous zone making itself visible and invisible at will. All of this is unconfirmed, but it would go a long way to explaining the curious events surrounding 1331. It appears that things have taken quite a dark turn. If indeed the corpse found off Brooklyn was Nigel Moyer's, it would appear that foul play is involved. I am going to start taking extra precautions, myself. This might be the beginning of a 'sanitization' of the Niantic Project. I am happy to report that I did have a very brief communication with Devra, but am unable to disclose the contents of it. She does appear to be alive and well. This might have escaped wide notice, but it seems that the mysterious 1331 is again cruising the roads. I wonder what this means... I remember, at one point the NIA was trying to destroy it. There were theories that Jarvis' body had been transported in it and there was some residual XM or Dark XM. It seems that there was another theory that it housed some secret NIA technology... What do the rest of you conclude from the strange history of 1331? Why is it back? What is it doing?

I have just heard that Devra will be at Tainan. I must confess, much to my sadness, that I have not heard from her since Abaddon. Does anybody know anything about her? Anybody have any conjectures on what she might be doing or where she might be?

I have been meditating on the concept of consciousness, fueled in part by my struggle with re-creating my own after some event seems to have scrambled my own. I realize this question is a bit abstract, but I will ask it anyway: Does ADA have consciousness? If not, what is she missing? If so, what would threaten it?

Kosh TheRipper made an interesting suggestion, after yesterday's question. Is it possible that OL-W and ADA are becoming a rogue faction? If so, what would be their agenda and purpose.

It appears that ADA planned the escape of Dr. Lynton-Wolfe. I am not sure what conclusions to draw from this. Is it possible that they are going to function like a rogue action? What puzzles me is their potential agenda.

It appears that, indeed, the fears that Hank Johnson and I shared in what we believed to be a secure environment (but were leaked) were accurate. Essex.  You might already know this, but I am hearing reports that GORUCK agents are retrieving messages triggered by the anomaly from Obsidius and Cybella. Apparently they are only getting fragments. The factions are competing to see who can retrieve and assemble the entire communication.

A number of Essexians as well as newer investigators have asked my opinion on how Big Mattie should decide on the box. As, of course, Essex is, by its very nature and investigation and exploration group that remains faction agnostic, I would not be disposed to venture an opinion if, indeed I even have one. All that I can say is, 'may the right thing happen' and that all of us should watch developing events very closely. A prime moment is coming.

While I can understand his annoyance, I consider it most impolite for Mr. Dille to have avoided returning my calls. Share this information privately only. It is unknown to me what forces and powers seek knowledge of its contents. It is my suspicion that the box originates with Josiah Harlan, and contains objects that are obsidian and marked in a cryptic and yet curiously familiar manner. While Dr. Johnson and perhaps Jahan can supply more details, it seems to me that you might well possess the key to Obsidian and quite possibly some Primal Artifacts.

Discovering interesting things on the subject of Obsidius, Syphax and Sybella and am assembling theories on the Vesuvian Magnus. My question today is more basic. Who do we know, at this point, January 2016 to be current Magnus and Anti-Magnus? Who do we suspect to be in each faction?

I need a confirm on some research I am conducting. What is the chain of custody of Jarvis' body. Let us start with the train station and let us assume that he was not a simulacrum. I do not know that that was the case, I just want to follow the body form that point to its present location.

The concept of 'Pepper's Ghost has been presented to me. Most specifically, I was told by a source that I was peering into the eyes of Pepper's Ghost. What does this mean?

What do we make of the fact that Hank Johnson and Jahan were spotted in Mexico together and that he is traveling to Oakland alone? Where is she going? What is she doing? Did she double-cross him or are they working in concert?

It is becoming apparent that Farlowe and Smith are not exactly simulacrum, but both survived things you would not expect them to survive (Dark XM killed Antoine Smith's partner, but not Smith), Farlowe should have been dead in the Zagreb Caves.  How do we explain this?  Or is a mystery yet to be solved?

I can not tell you why I need to know this, but I am sure you will very quickly discern the relevance.  What do we know of Calvin's relationship with Jahan.  When did they meet?  Was one subordinate to the other? Also, I am growing hazy on the details of how Hank was channeled to Jahan's temple after his recursion. I seem to remember that there were multiple groups involved.  Was Hank in contact with Calvin at that point, or had he lost faith in his prior benefactor?  What is their relationship now?

Have been avoiding certain people who I believe were tracking me.  What have we learned as a result of this weekend's Anomalies?

What do we know of Antimagnus? Who are its present members? Calvin, Jahan, Smith... Who else?   What historical Antimagnuses have we discovered or do we suspect?  The inner court of the Persian empire?  The alchemists (Flammel?)?  They believed in math and science.  Archimedes?  Maybe even Henry the Navigator's School?  Researching now. This knowledge will become valuable.

Brilliant day, yesterday. First off, excuse me for not knowing about the release of book 3. I have been immersed in studies. Indeed, when did Calvin get involved? Was he the puppet or the puppeteer?  Is he Abaddon?  Fascinating questions.  Brilliant work.   But yes. When did it begin for Calvin? I'm not sure we know enough to answer that, but his trail is fascinating to follow?  And, relevant to this week, where does, did, Kureze fit in?  It doesn't seem that he was a simulacra at Niantic.

I have been pouring over The Niantic Project Files: Volume 1 as well as Ingress: Origins and am convinced that a chain of events set in motion by Ezekiel Calvin are now playing out in the hunt for Abaddon.   Also, I have heard rumors that The Niantic Project Files: Volume 3 is emerging shortly. Types of Simulacrum There seems to be a difference between the simulacrum body of Hank Johnson​ (by 13Magnus ritual) and those of the Niantic Project​ simulacra (by Anti-Magnus). It has been alluded to that Jahan and the Anti-Magnus found a way to stabilize the simulacrum state. Something Klue S.​ told H. Richard Loeb​ at the cabin rendezvous. It's also the reason why Hank and A Detection Algorithm​ fought for the #Recursion Alexandrian artifacts . Jahan herself might be such a simulacrum. Hank was amazed how she was unaffected by the Nest. Hank wondered whether she was a simulacrum or she knew other ancient rituals which could nullify the effect of the Nest on normal human being. Another possible evidence for Jahan being an Anti-Magnus simulacrum is the voice recording from the IQTech drone. They detected her voice, but there was no body heat signature. I have had a disturbing thought, and this is not because I hold either alignment, I do not.  I am beginning to suspect that a simulacrum is identical in almost all visible ways to a human. The simulacrum (as Hank Johnson demonstrated) believes they are human and acting under their own will. However, we have reason to suspect (though it is far from proven) that Simulacrums are N'zeer creations (or is this true?) that might well function like the flesh and blood equivalent of video game avatars at the bidding of the N'zeer.  Thus, when Hank Johnson was functioning as Enlightened, was he, in fact, doing the bidding of the N'zeer or can the Shapers operate Simulacrum also?

Suspicion grows in me that Amaziah might be rogue antimagnus. Prime artifact hunter.  And hunted.  I have no proof, but when I gazed on that ancient artwork of Jahan and Azmati's families, I saw one in the picture who might have been him, recursing and recursing through time.  I have no objective means to confirm this. But the Lovecraftian overtones, Mustafa's suggestions and Misty forms a pattern or maybe the pattern is, like so many patterns, an illusion. Does anybody see what I see?

I am quite interested in a certain figure known as Amaziah Lachish.  He manifested in our investigation at a time when my consciousness was most scrambled...  Most disjointed.  What do we know of this person.  And for that matter, what do we know of this group which seems to parallel Essex known as #antimagnus ?

I am still assimilating the Jahan/Ada video.   Still formulating past, present, future, alternative possibilities in the ominously titled computational substrate.   So much implication in so few words. Images of possibilities. And somewhere in there I felt the shade of Calvin. Everything he did and said in the decades I knew him takes on a new shade of meaning.  It is visible now from a different angle -- like viewing the world from inside the magician’s sleeve. Everything he did led to this moment, Whydah, Niantic...  Everything.  And yet he is not here for his triumph.   Or have I got it all wrong? Is he the villain or hero of the piece?  Is he the hand moving the pieces, or is he just a piece? Meditating. Contemplating. Assembling.

Carrie Campbell is a most interesting case.  She died of mysterious glyphic causes a while back.  If she was sharded, then I would conclude that she was a simulacrum at the time of her death during, I believe, Operation Cassandra in Chicago. That leads to some very interesting questions. Most pregnant question to me is what we are likely to hear from a synthetic semiotician...   What has she seen or heard? How will she interpret it?

It is becoming more and more clear to me, from sources I can not currently disclose, that the fate of the Sharded researchers and, indeed the fate of the cosmos is going to be in the hands of the Agents of Abaddon..  More on this later.

Excellent thought, yesterday.  Excellent.  Today I am investigating Abbadon as a person or an entity.  Who would this Angel of Death be?  And maybe it is not physical death, but something different?  I am not sure that we yet have enough data to know the answer, but I am certain that the answer will be important so that it is time to start theorizing.   I suspect that while the exact details of the battle between the Shapers and N'zeer were shrouded in myth to the ancients, I do think they were as cognizant of the effects of it as we are.  Maybe more.  I think they were writing in code that they could barely decipher themselves. But I am not certain.

Here's is todays question. We have all been seeing the word Abaddon around.  I am puzzled as to whether this is a reference to a place (synonym for Hades) or a person (Satan or Appylon)(sp).  Or is it something else?

I am meditating today on the 'rules of nests.'  We know that the Peshawar Anomaly was a 13Magnus Nest.  I suspect, strongly that there was such a place in the Valley of the Dead (if memory serves, that was the name of Yuri's Anomaly).  I believe Jahan's palace to be such a place near Pune (and have frequently wondered about the rules of time and dimension there).  What other nests either 13MAGNUS or ANTI-MAGNUS have we identified?

Now that The Khanka Colloquy has become an open secret, I think that it is time that we open a discussion of the definition of and the identification of Sensitives.  I do not know how, or even if, the term was officially defined for the purposes of the Niantic Project, though it was bandied about as far back as Waratah, but there seems to be a consensus that some people are highly successful to the effects of XM, to the point that it heightens not only their innate abilities, but ability to feel the presence of Exotic Matter and, perhaps, Chaotic Matter, which is still only detected, I believe, by its reaction upon encountering Exotic Matter -- hence why it is not visible on Scanners. The question to each of you is, do you believe yourself to be a Sensitive?  If so, why?

While I am not yet prepared to divulge the exact nature of the most recent 'Roundtable' I presented at, I can safely tell you that there was a great deal of interest in the Influence of Exotic Matter on heightened human abilities and creativity.  Also, they were very interested in the concept of Sensitives.  I defined Sensitives, for the purposes of my paper, as people who's abilities are greatly enhanced by exposure to XM.  I noted that some had a positive reaction to it and some had a negative reaction, hence the existence of the Enlightened and the Resistance. Watched Behind the Scanner.  First order of business today is to reserve a copy of Tycho's graphic novel.
